Bert A. Geer died November 12, 2021, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley, and son, Steven.

The Cleveland, Ohio native was born on March 30, 1930 to Rose and Michael “Max” Geer.  During the Korean War, Bert, a US Army serviceman, was stationed in Japan.

Remembered as a jovial man with a zest for life, Bert never met a stranger.  He made his customers feel at ease as a traveling salesman of ladies clothing.  After retirement, he was the greeter at The Glenview with a wonderful smile he took the time to know the residents and visitors.  He was a member of Congregation Adath Jeshurun and The J of Louisville.

Bert is survived by sons Jonathon (Cindy) and Ronald (Stacey) and daughter-in-law Claire Geer; grandchildren Carly Mason (Daniel), Brandon (Alisa); Jason (Julie), Jonah, Lindsey, Madelyn, Spencer and Julia Geer; his great-grandchildren Ruby and Lyla Geer and Poppy Mason. He is also survived by his sister, Anita Lindner.

We are forever grateful to Cheryl Henson for the loving care, devotion, and friendship provided to our father and our family.

Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Adath Jeshurun Cemetery.  Memorial donations to Congregation Adath Jeshurun, The J of Louisville, or the Geer Family Special Needs Education Fund at Temple Sinai, 5645 Dupree Dr. NW, Sandy Springs, GA 30327 are appreciated.
