Clara Glasper (Blum) died in the Hosparus Health Inpatient Care Center on April 7, 2020 in Louisville, Kentucky at the age of 97.
Clara was born on April 27, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York to her parents, Edward and Rose Blum. The family moved to several cities before settling in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from Woodward High School where she met her high school sweetheart, Donald. They married in 1942 just prior to Donald serving four years in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Clara is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Rita Glasper of Louisville, and her grandson, Austin Glasper. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her son, David; her sister, Sadie Strapko; and brothers, Rupert Blum, Martin Blum and Arnold Blum.
A private funeral service is scheduled due to COVID-19 health crisis restrictions at Herman Meyer & Son in Louisville. She will be entombed with Donald on April 14, 2020 at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania, Ohio, now closed due to the same health crisis restrictions.
