Gila Glattstein, 93, passed away November 2, 2021. She was a member of Congregation Adath Jeshurun and the Jewish Community Center. She was a holocaust survivor, and an immigrant first to Israel and then to Louisville, Kentucky. She became a surgical tech at Kleiner and Kutz, a job she cherished for all her years.
Though she lost her family in the war, and later her son and husband, Gila always reached for and found joy in her life. Her life has been generously blessed with countless steadfast friends and colleagues and a rewarding career.
She is preceded in death by her son, Roni, and her husband, Dan “Dino”.
Gila is survived by her son, Uri (Marilyn), and grandchildren David and Emily Gilman (Eli), as well as great grandchildren, Milo and Olive Gilman.
The graveside service begins at 4 p.m., Thursday, November 4th, in Adath Jeshurun Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be given to The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 100 Raoul Wallenberg Pl SW, Washington, DC 20024, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, or to a charity of one’s choice.
