Margot Kling, 95, of Louisville, died June 30, 2021. Born in Frankfurt, Germany, to Adolph and Hilda Preis, and immigrated to the United States as a child.
She was an active community member, including a founding member of Temple Shalom, member of National Council of Jewish Women, Louisville Section, Hadassah, WRJ Sisterhood, as well as and a board member of Jewish Community Center and President of the Senior Group at The J.
Margot was preceded in death by her husband, David, and her son, Allan Ben.
Her surviving family members are daughter Ruth “Cookie” Honigberg; granddaughters Cari Hatch (Robert) and Shana Honigberg; great-grandchildren Chloe, Cooper, and Megan; and great, great-grandchildren Palmer and Ellie.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. at Herman Meyer & Son, Inc., 1338 Ellison Ave, on Friday, July 2, 2021, followed by the burial in the Temple Shalom section at Keneseth Israel Cemetery. Visitors are welcome at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
