Roscoe Calvin Kendall, Jr. passed away on September 13, 2021 at the age of 81 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Kendall, his brother, Larry, and his sister, Betty McEntyre. Roscoe is survived by his children Chris, Terri, Keith (Janice), and David (Brooke) Kendall; his grandchildren Michael (Jackie) Kendall, Kelsee (Daniel) Bryant, Nina Valdez, Karma, Vajra and Montgomery Kendall; great-grandchildren, Evie, Jude, Ezra & Ronan Kendall, and Isla Olver; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Roscoe was born in Ada, OK, and was raised in Ardmore, OK. He joined the National Guard after high school and then the US Navy where he saw many parts of the world while serving as an electrician on the USS Boxer. Roscoe had a long and successful career in Management Information Systems for companies such as IC Railroad, Pullman Company, Reuben H Donnelly, CNA insurance, Dunn and Bradstreet, and SRDS. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Columbia Southern University. He lived in multiple US cities throughout his life including Jacksonville, Danbury, CT, Chicago, and Austin, before settling into retirement in his wife’s home state of Kentucky.
Roscoe enjoyed dancing, walking, golfing, reading, watching war documentaries, visiting museums, listening to music, spending time with his family, and socializing with friends. He will be dearly missed. A memorial will be planned at a later date.
