March 10, 2022 ~ 7 Adar II 5782

Siddy Nancy Rosenberg  died suddenly in Florida, on March 10, 2022, at the age of 72. She was predeceased by her parents, Max Rosenberg and Olga Rosenberg (Roth).

Siddy is survived by her loving daughter Amy (Eiferman) Nishman, daughter-in-law Melissa Nishman, son Daniel Eiferman, daughter-in-law Ilissa Eiferman, grandchildren Julia, Abigail, and Jeffrey Eiferman, Kai, and Eitan Nishman, sister Mimi Met, nephews Michael and Jamie Met and their families.

Born in Fresh Meadows, Queens, NYC, Siddy obtained her bachelor’s degree from Queens College. The majority of her adult life was lived in Louisville, KY, where she raised her two children, Amy and Daniel, and was a very active member of The Temple. Professionally, Siddy was a systems analyst at PNC Bank and Humana before retiring. Siddy spent her retirement actively volunteering in multiple projects, including the Temple Gift shop and Temple Cemetery project. In addition, Siddy had a passion for Jewish Genealogy and spent hours and hours researching, updating our family tree,  and helping others.

In 2018, Siddy made the brave decision to move her life to Florida to be closer to her sister Mimi and enjoy the warm weather. She continued to be an active member of The Temple, attending multiple classes and services via Zoom and completing many other volunteer projects. Her passion for genealogy continued as she worked for the Jewish Records Indexing Poland.

Siddy will be remembered for her giving and selfless nature, being a loyal friend, and her unwavering dedication to her children and family (not to mention her unparalleled organizational skills!).

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be sent to two organizations that honor her perfectly:  The Temple Cemetery Beautification Fund (Donate)  or Jewish Genealogy (https://www.jewishgen.org/jewishgen-erosity/).

Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. followed by Siddy’s funeral service at 1 p.m., on Sunday, March 20th at Herman Meyer & Son, Inc., 1338 Ellison Avenue, Louisville.  Interment will follow immediately at The Temple Cemetery, 2716 Preston Highway in Louisville.
