Werner and his family were among the first Jewish immigrants to Louisville.  He was born February 21, 1927 in Würzburg, Germany.  As a young man he joined the US Army.  Later in life, he became a businessman and co-owner of Rosalco, a wholesale importer. Werner was an “Avid” fan of U of L Cardinals, a member of The Temple and a Kentucky Colonel.

On August 4, 2019 in Louisville, Ky.  Werner peacefully died.  He is survived by his wife, Leba; his children, Edward (Shelley) Frank, Carole (Brett) Meek, and Neil (Nancy) Frank; his grandchildren, Rebekah, Michael, and Gabriel Frank, Beau (Erin) Gadegaard, Malina, and Ethan Frank; and his great-grandson, Colton Gadegaard.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Herman Meyer & Son, Inc., 1338 Ellison Avenue. Followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m., The Temple Cemetery, 2716 Preston Highway. Family and friends are welcome to the visitation and graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to your favorite charity are welcomed.
